A rough interaction design or a paper prototype.
This is a spectrum of different Gallery users that present different approaches to look at Gallery's usability.
Photo consumer
A user that is looking at photos in an Gallery.
Photo organizer
A user that is using somebody else's (e.g. a family member's) Gallery installation to organize and publish her photos. She mainly wants to share here pictures with friends and family and has relatively modest demands.
Advanced photo publisher
A advanced user that is maintaining her own Gallery installation to organize and publish her photos online. She is the only one using this Gallery installation, but she has quite advanced demands for more functionality and especially in customizing the appearance of her photos. She could be a professional photographer for example.
Gallery administrator
A user that is maintaining a Gallery installation for a group of 3 or more other users (e.g. friends & familiy or a work team)
Gallery developer
A user that is adjusting and adapting Gallery to her personal needs and develops own themes and modules.

Forums

There is not a lot of talk about usability topics nor are there many regular users on the list, but it is still a good resource to get feedback from the community. Here you can find information about the IRC channels. You can always go in the channels, post something and see if you can get feedback from anybody that's present.
