Maybe interesting:
1. Permissions - generally, the users are not interested by permissions (most probably a linux person will) What are generally the users interested in, is a simple Public/Private/Password/Friends type of access, +/- some options like "Allow friends/users/guests to add comments" "Allow friends/users/guests to vote" aso (I tried to develop a module for access, but it is in early stages)
2. Album creation - generally, the users want to decide from the very beginning about their album status: private/public aso. Maybe it is a discussion point.
