Project Tasks

Gallery 2.2

• Security audit blocker done
• mindless may look at Gallery2:2.2_Release_Blockers#Bug:_JavaScript_issues_with_Java_Applets blocker
• How do we guide more users to the DP / plugins page?
  • should we put a big banner on Site Admin -> General?
  • plugins link is not obvious enough
  • bharat will add a note in AdminPlugins and maybe in AdminCore
• WebDAV / HTTPauth: progress, but slow
  • jablko will spend next 3 days on this
• Feedback from microsoft about IIS/fastcgi/phpcgi, valiant/h0bbel still working with microsoft, valiant updated known issues
  • MS won't support php-cgi so we have to ask all php-cgi users to switch
  • Waiting on a link from MS to a page which says that they don't support it
  • maybe post their email in our forums and link to that?
• Now also asking microsoft about webdav
  • waiting for a reply from MS
  • valiant has a workaround for bug with MS web folders not handling PUT requests properly
• abandoned mysql/utf-8 upgrade bug
• bharat will pay for security audit

Translations

• No updates this week, still waiting on rosetta request for translation group

Docs

• ckdake/bharat heard from a college student who wants to use gallery as part of his doc writing thesis work so we may have a new docwriter shortly
• mindless updated a-f module docs on codex

G2 Usability

• 600 people took the survey, it's down now and Katrin will email the resuts when she does all the calculations

Theme contest

• contest ends today. Joe7 will summarize to -core.

Gallery Foundation

• bharat will not submit 1099s for 2006, but will do it starting in 2007
• may need to form for-profit corporation to lower tax liability on ads/affiliate income, SPI may be able to help with this
• schultmc now Deputy Treasurer of SPI
• still need to work on routing donation income directly to SPI
  • schultmc will work on for-profit corp soon

GMC

• gmc upgraded to PHP 5.2, Drupal 5.1, MediaWiki 1.9.2
• trip_search is back online
• lingering issue with paid support module sending blank/truncated emails and occasionally leaving blank entries in the database

Gallery 1

• no updates this week (but there has been a lot of development)
• bharat/jens will initiate security audit for G1

Action Items
