Project Tasks
Gallery 2.3
- Talmdal Is working on the input validation framework.
- Virshu has brought ItemMoveSingle up to date.
- Bharat and ckdake are going to look at xmlrpc. ckdake should have a outline by next week.
- Language manager progress slowed down a bit, jozefs should have something for review soon.
- Valiant is still sporatically working on the ACL change (allowing multiple accessListId, itemId mappings). slow progress this week, didn't have much time to work on it.
- Joe7. is nowhere compared to where I've planned to be at this point. (some reasons in status mail which was blocked as I see, resending now).
- Bharat working on comments/akismet module.
- The comments module will be used as a test-bed for publish/unpublish GalleryComment entity methods implemented via permissions
- The above concept can later be refactored into core.
- We can have publishing queues, but use permissions to control visibility when you're in a queue.
Summer of Code
- Camilo (Media Metadata Extraction/Manipulation)
- Is publishing the code review today.
- Is making progress. Has found a couple of annoyances with the TagNaming schema.. but will solve later
- Uday (WebBased Image Manipulation)
- Started working on Image Manipulations .. and integrated brightness in the editphoto. By next week, should have 2 to 3 more manipulations done.
- Brian (Gallery 2 SQLite backend)
- Has not provided any updates since last week.
- Adam (Full Text Indexes for Gallery2 Search)
- Making progress, I've been having some issues with debugging. Getting pretty close to having the indexing component done, which is really the hard part.
Changes to GMC Forums (Integrations)
- Valiant has sent out some screen shots regarding the integration forums layout.
- Need Kieran to provide a full list of forums that need to be created.
- Valiant will post the template change for review.
- We'll host the integration pages at e.g. Gallery2:Integration:Drupal.
Gallery 1
- Waiting for feedback from Tim_j regarding the week of g1.6.
- Ckdake has received 1 quote and is waiting for others. Still waiting on 3 more responses. The 1 bid that we have recieved to date is very high.
Usability/Docs
- Still waiting for an update from Jeff Ward on docs, but he has been very active.
GalleryCon 2007
- Its September 22-23/2007.
- Volksport will talk to Bharat about budget.
- Volksport will look for a hotel this weekend.
Action Items
- Talmdal to ping Brian and see what's happening.
- Valiant has sent out some screen shots regarding the integration forums layout.

- Ckdake will develop an approach to paying bounty's to developers to develop the top 5 or 10 RFE.
- Review Gallery2:Usability_Issues:Permissions#Wireframes and send feedback to katrin on gallery-devel.
- Students and mentors to publish a schedule and milestones for each SoC project on the Codex.

- Valiant to hack the GMC forum template to make nested forums possible.
