Planning RC-1 for 11-Nov or earlier
- Bug/security fixes and webdav in progress; webdav will move to main svn now/soon
- Task/bug priority.. P9==fix for RC-1, P8==fix for RC-2, P7==nice-to-have
- (virshu/mindless) usability #1 - decided we don't want to change header/sidebar, but don't know CSS to make it work without this change
- (bharat) Security audit for DP is lined up, will submit at RC-1 time

- maybe ckdake should be our SPI project representitive so he can talk to them about --v
About 50% of donations go to SPI: some work needed for routing other donations: now accepting via paypal and clickandpledge.com; can we get SPI to receive directly via paypal/google checkout? (bharat/schultmc) also how to get other funds to SPI so we're not subject to bharat's tax bracket

GMC search

bharat showed customized google search we might integrate
No updates this week on drupal search
- Signe revived this topic in email, hopefully he'll continue to push it forward
- search currently offline (except for privileged users), with form to search via google instead
- could change DB table engine from MyISAM to InnoDB and see if that helps, also with one-table-per-file setting
- could rollback drupal caching "fix" which greatly increases load on GMC because everytime people click "back" it hits the server to reload the page; this means "click search result, click back, click another search results" makes GMC repeat the search query (it was this drupal upgrade, and not the original 4.7 upgrade, when GMC lockups became much more frequent)

Need somebody to draft a proposal for an ISP qualification program
Bharat will add anchors to download page so that the [version download] links on the main gmc page.
Mindless will add link from download page to related news story.

Joe7 has done some work with phpgettext as fallback for gettext, plus a smarty prefilter+compiler to pretranslate strings in tpl files at compile time to save this processing at page render time. valiant and mindless will review this work and assess value+risk to decide if anything goes into 2.2 (maybe phpgettext as fallback in 2.2, prefilter after)
bharat suggests G2 download page needs rewrite, it's hard to navigate (should have clean look, minimal text and crap). cool download pages: 1 2
May explore using http://launchpad.net/rosetta to enable entering translations in a browser based UI
- ckdake unable to locate people in IRC, they apparently don't do individual email.. so ckdake will get on user mailing list, will fwd to mindless when he has something
