Project Tasks

Gallery 2.2

  • Feature freeze 29-Sep.. pending stuff before that:
    • (mindless) theme changes for dynamic albums, couple patches from forums
    • (bharat) DP changes (progress bar, delete language packs, repositories: stable, 3rdparty; and maybe: allow users to add core language packs)
    • (jablko/bharat) webdav
    • (michiel1981/valiant) comment module changes
    • (virshu/mindless) usability #1

Summer of Code

  • (schultmc) draft wrapup story ready, needs input from mentors before publishing

Theme contest

G2 Usability

  • virshu continues on move-items UI, next/prev links location needs review (mindless)

Gallery Foundation

  • We accepted membership in SPI
  • core team is eligible for membership: http://www.spi-inc.org/about-spi/membership
  • Some work needed for routing donations: we can accept via clickandpledge.com (already setup for SPI), what about paypal/google checkout? (schultmc to research)

GMC search

  • Signe revived this topic in email, hopefully he'll continue to push it forward
  • search currently offline (except for privileged users), with form to search via google instead
  • could change DB table engine from MyISAM to InnoDB and see if that helps, also with one-table-per-file setting
  • could rollback drupal caching "fix" which greatly increases load on GMC because everytime people click "back" it hits the server to reload the page; this means "click search result, click back, click another search results" makes GMC repeat the search query (it was this drupal upgrade, and not the original 4.7 upgrade, when GMC lockups became much more frequent)

  • (bharat) Security audit for DP.. awaiting reply from gulftech
  • Need to address outcome of security audit
  • (bharat) code review for webdav

General Action Items

  • Jens to arrange a full security audit for 1.6
  • Jens/Christian/Dave to publish a test plan for 1.x
  • Need somebody to draft a proposal for an ISP qualification program
  • Bharat/Chris will present a primary transition plan including a job title (bharat to review draft from chris)
  • Chris will make sure that we set up a tech writer recruiting program
  • Bharat will add anchors to download page so that the [version download] links on the main gmc page.
