Album Notification

Subscribe to receive recent public/private album notifications.

Description

The Album Notification module allows an administrator to enable or disable public RSS notifications for specific public/private albums. To retain privacy, the Album Notification feed does not display any images but rather notifies the subscriber how many new photos and/or videos have been added to each enabled album. Users can subscribe to this feed by enabling the "Available RSS feeds" block in the sidebar.

Installation

  • Download the tarball or zip file.
  • Unpack/Extract the file.
  • A folder called "album_notification" should have been extracted. This contains the entire module and should be copied to the "modules" directory in your Gallery3 installation directory.
  • Please refer to the official Gallery documentation for further instructions on installing a module: http://codex.galleryproject.org/Gallery3:User_guide:Modules:Installing_and_upgrading
