Resize protect

Protect the re-sized image.

  • Prevents right-click "Save Image As".
  • Prevents dragging an image to the desktop.
  • Prevents right-click "Save Background As".
  • Prevents right-click "View Background Image"

Description

Adds JavaScript code to the page to add a transparent image over the re-sized image.

Installation

  • Download the module from: [here].
  • Extract the module to the module directory of your G3 install.
  • Activate the module: Login -> Admin -> Modules. Check the box next to the module. Click update at the bottom of the page.

Disclaimers

  • This isn't meant to be THEE image protector. Print-screen or a quick view-source will get the user the image.
  • This script is meant to be for the non-technical end user.
  • It Does NOT prevent image theft. If it is on the screen it can be captured, saved, printed. Use permissions and watermarks.
  • The whole idea of preventing people from saving things from the Internet is totally flawed: you simply have to make up your mind: either you give people the data or you keep the data for yourself. You cannot do both at the same time!
