Dark canvas Theme

  • Brother of the clean canvas theme with modified menu style.
  • This is thought to be a color neutral and clean, simple but elegant theme for Gallery 3.
  • A small thank you to the community behind. Some compromise were to be made with Internet Explorer compatibility, though.
  • Cool 3D effects.

Features

  • makes use of CSS3 features (box shadows, round corners)
  • background with some canvas like structure to make it easy to look at
  • looks best in browsers that already support CSS3 or have an alternative for the features used
  • some new icons
  • custom themeroller theme

Installation

  • Download the theme from the above link and extract to your themes directory.
  • Admin -> Appearance -> Theme choice. Choose the theme.

Notes

Issues

  • Internet Explorer <= 8.0 does not support most of the features used, so it looks a bit odd there.
  • Internet Explorer has some layout problems with the mouse overs - *fixed* (with 1.02)
  • Internet Explorer <= 8.0 text in context menus looks strange if over a picture
  • Video support not working correctly - *fixed* (with 1.03)

Support

History

  • 2010-08-16 - 1.02

  • 2010-08-25 - 1.03
    • added shadowbox module support for pictures
    • fixed strange behaviour with videos
    • cross adapted some layouts between dark and clean version
    • if only one language is installed, the language selection is hidden
