Google recommend putting the tracking code at the end of your HTML, not in the head. This means your page will load first and the google server will be spoken to last, therefore not causing your users to wait. It should ideally be insterted before the closing </body> tag. - IN
True. We should update the docs. Thanks h0bbel 04:04, 11 September 2006 (PDT)
I've created the subdirectory, copied, and then modified the file--theme.tpl, but when I examine the source (and check the status from Google Analytics) I see that my site is not using the new file.
Is there a switch--a setting--I have to change that makes Gallery look for and use local directories?
I am hosted by dreamhost, in case this is significant.

Try clearing the template cache. go to www.yoursite.com/gallery2/lib/support and choose "cache maintainence" Dmolavi 12:57, 25 August 2006 (PDT)
Also, support is done in the forums, not here. h0bbel 15:31, 26 August 2006 (PDT)
