Allows users to assign a password to a public album.
With this module enabled, registered users will be able to assign/remove a password to any album they have edit privileges on by using the Album Options -> Assign password / Album Options -> Remove password menu options. Once a password has been assigned, the album will not appear to guest and other non-admin users.
The album must be publicly viewable in order for the password to function properly (the View/Everybody permission must be checked). This module can work in one of two ways (controlled from the admin screen). It can hide items only, meaning that users won't see the albums, but if they know the URL they can access the album or it's contents directly. It can also completely deny access to the protected albums and their contents, meaning users trying to access the protected areas without the correct password will see a 404 error. Regardless of which option is used, items will still be viewable on dynamic pages -- they'll show up in searches and with modules like tags and latest updates and the thumbnails will be viewable.
This module may be downloaded from the Gallery forums here.
To install, extract the "albumpassword" folder from the zip file into your Gallery 3 modules folder. Afterwards log into your Gallery web site as an administrator and activate the module in the Admin -> Modules menu.
Not compatible with the 'hide' module.
