Sitemap
Create an XML sitemap for your gallery.
Installation
This module may be downloaded from the Codex here.
Options
- index albums, photos and/or movies
- gzip version (if zlib is installed)
- frequency preference
- priority setting
- specification of sitemap location (must be writable, else the module will issue a warning message)
Caveats
- Sitemaps may only be 10 MB large, after which a map must be split in several maps with a sitemap index; this module doesn't handle this case. (10 MB is some 100,000 items.)
- Sitemaps must be added manually to robots.txt for search engines to know about their existence: sitemap: http://example.com/yourgallery/sitemap.xml
- Alternatively, search engines can be pinged. This module doesn't notify engines or modify robots.txt as of this version.
